Supply allocation is one of the important features of advanced inventory management.
- When we enable the supply allocation feature we can meet the demand requirement with the right product, amount, and location by the required time period.
- Supply Allocation matches inventory supply sources to demand sources.
- Inventory Supply Sources are Purchase Order, Transfer Orders, and Work Orders. Sales Order, Transfer Order, and Work Order are the Inventory Demand sources.
- Rule-based supply allocation help to future supply allocation and current Inventory supply in a proper manner.
- If there is any change in the demand and supply the supply allocation is recalculated in an automated or scheduled manner.
- Provide alert if there is any allocation shortage in the supply flow so that way we can manage or fulfill our end-user requirement without any delay.
- First, we need to enable the multi-location inventory feature then only we can track and distribute the inventory for multiple warehouses or locations.
- Go to Set up>Company> Enable-feature click the item and inventory subtab tick the multi-location inventory feature and save.

To enable the supply allocation feature go to Set up>Company>Enable features to click the item and inventory subtab tick the supply allocation feature and save.
