Users usually determine the Primary and secondary subsidiaries by opening the
Vendor/Customer record and navigating to the classification section and subsidiaries
tab. If you think about it, that will require a lot of steps if you need to check on multiple
records. So, here’s a tip that will make things easier for you! Instead of going over each
record, you can just customize your Global Search Results. Here’s how:
1.) Go to Global Search, type ve: (any existing vendor, cu: for customer)
2.) Click the magnifying glass icon
3.) You will be routed to Global Search: Vendors Result Page and click Customize
4.) Click More Options
5.) Go to Results Tab
6.) Add Subsidiary Name in the Field (Subsidiary Fields… > Name) this will show
all the subsidiaries related to the Vendor/Customer. You can rename this field to
Subsidiary Name in the Custom Label. This will also show the secondary
subsidiaries.
7.) Add Primary Subsidiary of the Vendor/Customer Record
8.) Save
Note: You can revert to the original results by clicking Customize > Restore
