A Vendor Statement is similar to that of a Customer Statement. It lists vendor transactions which include Bills, Bill Credits, Bill Payments, and Journals. Unlike customer statements, vendor statements are not yet available in NetSuite. As a workaround, we can customize A/P Register to show all vendor transactions as of a specified time for a specific vendor. To do the same, perform the following:
- Navigate to Reports > Vendors/Payables > A/P Register
- Click Customize
- Click Filters
- Expand Vendor Register Transactions folder
- Choose Vendor (Line)
- Click Filter
- Select Equal to
- Click Select Multiple button
- Choose the Name of the vendor
- Check the Show in Footer box
- Click Done
- Click Done again
- Click Preview
- To save the report:
- Click Return to Customization
- Enter a Report Name
- Click Save : With the Show in Footer functionality, there is no need to change the filter each time the report is generated for another vendor. While viewing the report, the vendor name can be changed in the footer filter.
