Webhooks allow apps to stay in sync with Shopify data or perform an action after a specific event occurs in a shop. Webhooks are a performant alternative to continuously polling for changes to a shop’s data. To create a webhook
1. Login to our Shopify Account.
2. Go to Settings > Notifications > Create Webhook.
From the list we can select the required event. The Format should be either JSON or XML.
3. Then Choose the API Version.
4. The URL can be created in different ways. One of the simplest method is with the help of an Online Tool called Beeceptor – Rest API mocking in seconds
5. Here we can create an end point and the copy the URL and paste it in the Webhook URL.
Then we here we created a webhook for “Creating Customer”.
So in the Shopify Admin Create a Customer and then Click on “Send Test Notifications”.
Then we can see the payload in the Beeceptor and the Webhook is created!
