Key things to remember when creating new data sets in SuiteAnalytics Workbook

Here are some key things to remember when creating new data sets.

•             Only fields added to the source data grid will be available in workbook visualizations.

•             Data sets can be used as a complement to saved searches for ad hoc data analysis.

•             Same field cannot be added twice to the data set’s source data grid. To use the same field twice in a single workbook, create a workbook table view visualization.

•             Data set changes will propagate down to all workbooks referencing that data set.

•             All custom records and fields are supported

•             You will only have access to the records and fields in a workbook if the permissions assigned to your user role allow you to access that data.

•             Be aware of parent-child record relationships when selecting fields from joint records to avoid data duplication.

•             Custom formula fields can be created to display calculated field values dynamically when the data set query is executed.
