If we needed the per line department and per line class, in the transaction record the following features are needed to be enabled.
Go to setup> Accounting>Accounting preference
Under general subtab, tick allows per line department and allow per line class.
To set up departments, go to Setup > Company > Classifications > Departments > New.
To set up classes, go to Setup > Company > Classifications > Classes > New.
- If we added the department and class details in the body field before enabling the per line feature, then we can see the department and class details in the GL impact both the sales order a/c and revenue a/c.
- We have created a SO, after enabling the per line feature and added department and class details in the body fields only. But in the GL impact, the department and class details are shown in the sales order account line only.
- Similarly, if we added the department and class details in the per line only, then the revenue a/c line only shows the department and class information. (GL Impact).
- If we add department and class details both the body field and per line in the SO, then we can see the sales order a/c line and revenue a/c line with corresponding department and class details. (GL impact).
