Proposal Summary

This proposal includes the displaying of shipping fee to $12.50 for purchase under $100 before tax. It also includes the solution and time for this.

When the cart total is under $100.00 for there to be a warning signs that saying “increase your order to $100.00 to get free shipping”

If we have an agreement that a specific customer or parent account gets free shipping regardless of order size, we can turn it off under their account.

The shipping amount will need to be stated clearly at the checkout/cart stages.

Requirement

To set the Shipping fee to $12.50 for checkout under purchase of $100.

Our Solution

As the requirement is to add the shipping fee of $12.50 for any purchase under $100 before tax.

Here we will create a checkbox “Free Shipping” in the customer record. If the checkbox is checked then that customer will have free shipping.

When a customer login to the website and navigates to checkout, we will check if the checkbox “Free Shipping” is checked or not. If it is checked then that customer will have free shipping.

If not checked and the order sum is less than $100 then the shipping cost will be $12.50 and a message will be displayed “Increase your order to $100.00 to get free shipping”. If the order sum is more than $100 then shipping will be free shipping.

We have to also change the shipping cost of the sales order created by this customer in the NetSuite otherwise the shipping cost in the checkout and sales order will be different. We have to also apply the change in the total cost which include the shipping fee in the order history page of Myaccount.
