Scenario: Client were received the items, but didn’t add a bin on any of the warehouses. They couldn’t deduct the item from the system even there is having a stocklevel.
Solution: The item is a bin item. As a result, we must allocate the items to the appropriate bins to use this items for a transctions. So we should have to proceed with following step to do this.
- To associate the bins with inventory item, Go to the item record and edit it.
- Click the Purchasing/Inventory subtab.
- On the Bin Numbers subtab, in the Location & Bin Number field, select a bin to associate with this item.
- Click Add and Save it.

The above step is an optional. We can either assign the associated bins to the item record or move straight to the Bin Putaway worksheet to assign the items to the bins.
After that put the items to the bins. For that,
- Go to Transactions > Inventory > Bin Putaway Worksheet.
- Select the Location to associate with the transaction.
- The Quantity column shows the total on-hand amount for each item at the location selected. Click this field to edit the total quantity.
- Click the icon in the Inventory Detail column next to an item to edit bin quantities.

5. In the Inventory Detail popup window, specify the bins and quantities to be put away as follows,
(a) In the Bin list, select the bin we want the items put into.
(b) In the Quantity field, enter the quantity of items to be put in this bin.
(c) Click Add.
(d) Click OK.
6. Click Save.
Follow the procedure and then we can deduct this item from the system.
