Journal Entry Import Mapping > Custom Field not available

First, we Check if the Custom Field is applied to Journal Entries

Using the Administrator role, navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Field Type (e.g. Transaction Body Field)
1. Custom Field: Click Edit
2. Click Applies to tab
3. Enter Checkmark for the transaction type(s) where you want the field to be available
4. Click Display tab, Display Type: Select Normal
5. Click Save and Apply to Forms
6. In the Apply Custom Field to Forms Page, Enter Checkmark for the form(s) where you want the field to show up
7. Click Save

Next, we check if the Custom Field is set to Show on the Transaction Form used
1. Navigate to Customization > Forms > Transaction Forms
2. Custom Form: Click Edit
3. Click the Screen Fields tab
Show: Enter Checkmark for the Custom Field
Display Type: Select Normal
4. Click Save.

Then we Check if the Custom Field will show up under NetSuite Fields during the import

  1. Navigate to Setup > Import/Export > Import CSV Records
  2. In Step Scan & Upload CSV File:
    • Import Type: Select Transactions
    • Record Type: Select Journal Entry
  3. Click Select
  4. Select the CSV file to be imported
  5. Click Next
  6. In Step Import Options: 1)Data Handling: Select the preferred Data Handling option 2) Advanced Options
  7. Click Next
  8. In Step Field Mapping, verify if the Custom Field appears under the NetSuite Fields section, then map the fields accordingly
  9. Click Next
  10. In Step Save mapping & Start Import:
    • Import Map Name: Enter the desired Map Name
    • ID: Enter the desired ID
  11. Click Save & Run
