Proposal Summary
This proposal covers the scope of implementing pickup option in checkout page in Thermogard websites. If pick up selected, display a dropdown from which the customers could choose the pick-up location from the available list.
Requirement
The customer’s needs to have the ability to select pickup option for their order. When they choose pick up option, a list of predefined locations will be displayed for each website. Customers could choose their preferred location for the corresponding order.
Our Solution
The website checkout page will show a pickup option in the delivery section.
The customer could choose the pickup location from the available list.
The sales order will be placed with pickup as the delivery method. The pickup location will be saved to a custom field created in the Sales order record. This field value will be populated to the cash sale, invoice and IF record.
Each website will have different set of locations. So, 3 different fields will be used to save the pickup location.
3 custom records/lists will be created to add the locations for each subsidiary (AU, NZ, and USA).
The configuration record of each domain will include the tab to add the locations. The values in custom record and configuration record should be same. Mismatch in custom record and configuration record values will lead to not save the data in sales order correctly.
The customers could only choose either pick-up option or other delivery methods. If they choose pickup, customers can’t select any other delivery method for the same order.
