Transactions not showing under EFT – Bill Payments page

Scenario

Bills, Expense Reports, Bill Credit, Journals, etc. are not showing on the EFT – Bill Payment page (Payments > Payment Processing > Bill Payment Processing)

Solution

1. Make sure that EFT Bill Payment = T on the Vendor Record for and check the following setup for Vendor Bill/Bill Credit problems. 

a. Open Vendor record
b. On the Bank Payment Details Tab > make sure that EFT Bill Payment = T
c. If Entity Bank Details missing, update the Vendor record and input this information 
d. Under the System Information > System Notes sub tab ensure that the EFT File Format value matches the Payment File Format selected on the Entity Bank Details of the Vendor record
e. If the EFT File Format value is blank on the System Notes tab, uncheck and check again the EFT Bill Payment checkbox before saving

2. Make sure that Direct Debit = T or EFT Customer Refund Payment = T on the Customer Record and check following setup for Customer Invoice/Customer Refund problems.

a. Open Customer record
b. Bank Payment Details (Debit) tab > Direct Debit = T
c. Bank Payment Details (Credit) tab > EFT Customer Refund Payment = T (if processing Refunds)
d. If Entity Bank Details missing, update the Customer record with this information 
e. Under the System Information > System Notes sub tab ensure that the DD File Format value matches the Payment File Format selected on the Entity Bank Details of the Customer record.
f. If the DD File Format value is blank on the System Notes tab, uncheck and check again the Direct Debit/ EFT Customer Refund Payment checkbox before saving 

3. Make sure that Direct Debit = T on the Employee Record and check the setup for Expense Report problems.

a. Open Employee record
b. Bank Payment Details tab > EFT Bill Payment = T 
c. If Entity Bank Details missing, update the Employee record and input this information 
d. Under the System Information > System Notes sub tab ensure that the EFT File Format value matches the Payment File Format selected on the Entity Bank Details of the Vendor record
e. If the EFT File Format value is blank on the System Notes tab, uncheck and check again the EFT Bill Payment checkbox before saving

To check this on a wide scale, create the following saved searches (separate searches for each record) :

1. Reports > Saved Searches > All Saved Searches > New

2. Type = Vendor/Employee/Customer

3. On the Criteria tab > select:

EFT Bill Payment=T/Direct Debit = T 

EFT File Format is -None-/EFT Direct Debit is -None-

4. Click Save and Run

To fix this, for the missing EFT File Format or EFT Direct Debit, update the corresponding record  (Vendor/Customer/Employee) and input the Entity Bank Details.
