This proposal covers the changes to the sales order forms ,print picking ticket PDF updates and its proposed solution
Requirement
Expertec would like to update the PDF for print picking ticket, Increasing line spacing between items on “print picking ticket” so there’s more room between the lines, they would like alternate shading between the lines when they print out a picking ticket using the Print picking ticket button.
Forms:
- JJ Expertec Sales Order
- JJ Expertec Sales Order item group
Add a box to the bottom left hand corner named “Actual Install Hours” with a space to write up to 4 digits
- This box should also appear on the form in NS under primary information
- The picking ticket will be hand written on and then a data entry clerk will copy that into the NS form
- This field does not need to show on the PDF or print version on an invoice but should be visible when in NS
- This fields needs to be searchable for pull future reports
Our Solution
Proposed Solution
Currently script is used to generate the picking ticket print upon clicking the “print picking ticket” button. The script is used by all the four sales order forms. The requirement can be achieved by updating the existing template. There should be “Banded rows” with grey highlights every alternate line items and increasing line spacing between items on “print picking ticket”

We will add 3 columns to the left of the quantity column, in the following order from left to right;
- Staged
- Installed
- PDI’d
We assume that 3 columns will be empty when it will print and it will be hand written check marks
Assumptions
- We will be using gray highlight for every alternative item line. Please Confirm.
- “Print picking ticket” button has shown on all 4 sales order forms. So the changes in picking ticket template will reflect to all sales order forms. If you would like to restrict print picking ticket button to the sales order forms JJ Expertec Sales Order, JJ Expertec Sales Order item group, we need to update the script. Please Confirm
- We will add a box to the bottom left hand corner of the sales order picking ticket PDF named “Actual Install Hours” with a space to write up to 4 digits.
- We assume that “Actual Install Hours” will be hand written in the pdf. We will not source any value to “Actual Install Hours” from the sales order record to the PDF.
