Saved Search That Displays Sales Orders and Its Related Invoices/Cash Sales

To create a Transaction Saved Search that displays a list of Sales Orders with their corresponding billing transactions, i.e. Cash Sales or Invoices.

  1. Navigate to Lists Search Saved Searches > New
  2. Search Type: Click Transaction
  3. Search Title: Enter Title
  4. Click Criteria tab > Standard subtab
  5. Filters:
    Select Type
    • Type: Select any of
    • Select Sales OrderSelect Main Line
    • Main Line: Select NoNote: Always click Set once the Filter is selected and adjusted as needed.
  6. Click Results tab > Columns subtab
  7. Fields:
    Select Billing Transaction
    Note: Add other required fields as needed. Always click Add once Filter selected and adjusted as needed.
  8. Click Save & Run

In the search results the Billing Transaction column will either show Invoice # XY or Cash Sale # XY.

If user would like to see only transaction number of both Invoices and Cash Sales (not distinguished by its name), replace the Billing Transaction field in Results (step 7) by join field Billing Transaction fields… : Select Document Number.
