This proposal covers the scope of making, For PDF documents in PDP page in the thermogard website domains. The implementation will be done in the page
Requirement
We can upload documents at an item level and show them on the eCommerce side. These would be PDF documents like flyers/specification sheets etc. If so, can you let me know what effort it would take to implement this? The document should be dynamic.
Our Solution
To achieve the functionality, we need to create a saved search, Custom record, Fields and extension.
- Custom record And fields
- The Custom record is a record containing two fields links and a document. The link field is used to connect the item record. The document field is used to store the document. Using the custom record we can add multiple documents.
- Extension
- We need to create/update an extension for the PDP page. Using the saved search we will get the uploaded document from the item record. We need to create the UI matching the current theme and create a new tab in the item details menu. The sample screenshot is added below
Please Note: The files need to uploaded in the Website Hosting Files folder
Scope Limitation
- We develop a UI section based on the current theme and any additional changes to the UI or functionality will be considered extra.
