Proposal Summary
This proposal covers both the functional and UI development for Sorting the items in cart page by brand and sub-category in SCA webstore for Point Australia website. The items will be sorted on the basis of products brand and sub-category.
Requirement
To Sort the items on the cart page by brand and sub-category.
Our Solution
- We will add a new functionality in the existing cart scroll update extension for adding the sort option based on the brand and sub-category of the item which is added in the cart
- We will change the default sorting method which is currently used for sorting the cart items. By default, now the items are sorted in the order they were added. So, it will be changed to sort on the basis of brand and sub-category
- The changes will be done initially on the sandbox domain and will be pushed to production only after the confirmation.
Assumptions/Terms and conditions
- Items in the cart will be sorted based on the brand and sub-category.
- For the items which have no subcategory the sorting will be done on the basis of their brand.
- No dropdown will be added to the cart.
- No further UI or functionality changes will be done except in the current scope.
- New Feature Implementation will be extra.
