The options of a list/Record field can be filtered using Sourcing and Filtering option while creating field
1)CUSTOMIZATION> LISTS /RECORDS/ FIELDS>TRANSACTION BODY FIELDS
2) Give name and id to the field
3) Type select List/Record
4) List/ record select the list or record corresponding to this field created
5) set APPLIES TO and DISPLAYS as required
6) select filter and sourcing
7) On filter using select on the basis of which field of the Record in the list/record filtering want to be done and in comparison, select to value of which field comparison want to do. Also select the type of comparison
8) SAVE
