We will be creating a custom workflow to handle this discount approval process.
As mentioned in the requirement we will be hiding the standard approval button and creating a new disabled custom field on the Sales Order with a list of “pending approval” “approved” and “rejected.”
The Submit for approval button will be available for the creator of the sales order and Admin. The Approval status should be Pending Approval upon the creation of the sales orders.
On clicking the same it should send a notification mail (if required) to the approver i.e. Store Manager.
He and Admin should be able to click the Approve /Reject button.
Once it is approved by Approver, the Sales order should be approved.
Whenever the approvers reject the Sales order, its status should be Rejected. Will be sending a notification mail to the creator. And resubmit for approval button should be available for the creator/Admin.
At any stage, the approval status should be disabled.
