Requirement
Add a scheduled or map/reduce script in the sandbox that takes every serial number that is in the TRASH bin in Warehouse and creates an adjustment where inventory adjustment reason is “Trash Inventory”.
Our Solution
1. Saved search to fetch the Items moved to the Trash
Need to create a saved search for the Inventory items to fetch the serial numbers of the items that’s been moved to the ‘Trash’ bin.
Filter out the saved search based on the items in location ‘TQ Fairfield : FF-Warehouse A’.
2. Scheduled script
Incorporate the Item saved search into the scheduled script. Deploy the script to run on a daily basis.
Create inventory adjustments for all the items obtained from the saved search.
Add the items with adjusted quantity to be negative of the value obtained from the Trash bin item search.
Add all the serial numbers of each item in the Inventory detail in the respective line of the inventory item adjustment.
