Proposal to Change Crossed off Online Price in website to Customer Price Level For Special Item

PROPOSAL SUMMARY

This proposal covers the implementation of changing the online price displayed in the webstore to the customer price level for special item.

REQUIREMENT

Currently, the price displayed for the item in the webstore is the customer price level except for special items.  For special items the online price level is displayed crossed off along with special price. Each customer has a different price level. So instead of online, we need to show the corresponding price level for special item in the webstore.

OUR SOLUTION

We will change the price level from online price to customer price level for special item.

  • The price displayed crossed off for the special item is based on the price level selected in the customer record.

According to the customer price level each special item will display the price of that price level from the item record in website as crossed off.

For eg:

  • The price will be update in PLP, PDP, Cart, Checkout and Favourite pages for special item.
  • On the favourites page, we need to update the price for all items. Since favourite page is taking online price for all items not only for special items.

For achieving the solution, we need to update some scripts and templates.

  • We will take the price level of the user when the user logs into the webstore, and the price crossed off for the special items will be updated based on the price level. And also, the price will be updated for all items in your favourites page.
  • If there is no price level is selected in customer record or no prices for the corresponding price level in item record, the online price will be taken.

ASSUMPTIONS

  • For the special items in the webstore, we will change the online price to customer price level for crossed off. We will keep the existing website theme.
  • Development will be done in the sandbox first. After confirmation it will be moved to Production.
