Creating Customer Mapping Rules ( Automated cash application)

Go to Transactions > Bank > Automated Cash Application.

Choose the bank or credit card account for which you want to establish a customer mapping rule from the Account list. A list of imported bank lines for which NetSuite was unable to locate matching payments is displayed by NetSuite.

Choose “Customer” from the drop-down menu: If the proper customer’s name is not already selected for an imported bank line, choose it or input it.

The list by default shows the first 1,000 results that the system has returned. Consult Troubleshooting Missing Records from the Customer Dropdown List if there are no customers listed in the dropdown list.

If a customer name is selected but is incorrect, select or enter the name of the correct customer.

If a customer name is selected, correct, and not read-only, do the following: Click the field of the customer’s name.

To clear the field, click the X icon that appears. Select or enter the name of the customer again.

In the confirmation window, click Make Rule. NetSuite selects the customer and creates a customer mapping rule.

If you have an existing customer mapping rule that contradicts your new rule, your new rule overwrites the existing one.
