Scenario
In Netsuite using celigo connector when we try to set up a particular account it shows an error.
Need to know the reason for the same
Solution
The account that the user tried to set up in the customer deposit is of type Current Liability. By standard in the customer deposit, it would have shown the account as bank account only. But if we enable the expanded accounting list feature then we’ll be able to set other accounts such as expenses, other expenses, bank as well and that two based on the subsidiary as well.
And by the standard for a customer deposit GL Impact, there will be an account called Customer Deposit which is already an other current liability type, so. Editing and debiting to the other current Liability account itself using a customer deposit. This doesn’t seem logical. And ideally it should be a bank account or an expense or other expense account. We will not be able to select other current Liability type account in the Customer Deposit account drop down even if we enable the expanded accounting list feature and it seems like a limitation and if that GL impact is necessary then we would need to create a. But ideally it may be a misunderstanding from the client side and we need to ask the client what would be the correct account to be selected for the customer deposit instead of this type of accounts.
