The proposal covers the new customization in the sales order record which is to show a cautionary pop-up message when re-printing the picking ticket more than once.
Requirement
Show a cautionary pop-up alert message when trying to print a picking ticket for a sales order that already has a picking ticket printed.
Deliverables
- Add a custom button to print the picking ticket
Use a custom button to print picking tickets, instead of using the standard print option. Create a checkbox field in the sales order record to track whether the picking ticket has been printed before. Once the printing is initiated, the checkbox is checked, and the picking ticket is generated.
When the user tries to print the picking ticket for the sales order for which the checkbox is already checked, the cautionary pop-up will be displayed.
The existing ‘print picking ticket’ action will be hidden.

The printing ticket is generated from the sales order record
Risk
The proposed solution is not applicable for the printing ticket which is generated from the ‘Print Picking Ticket’ page (Transaction -> Management -> Print checks and forms -> Picking tickets)
