Resolve Commerce Categories not Redirecting on SCA

Scenario

After the Commerce Categories has been correctly set-up, there may be times on the webstore where the Commerce Category doesn’t redirect, doesn’t contain any item records despite adding them prior, or other unintended behaviors.

Solution

Rebuild Search Index – This may be common on Commerce Categories where it doesn’t display any item records. Please proceed and try to Rebuild the Search index to see if this would resolve the problem. Item records should now be indexed afterwards

  1. Navigate to Commerce Websites Website List
  2. Click Edit next to your website.
  3. Hover-over Actions
  4. Actions: Click Rebuild Search Index
    Note: 
    A prompt will pop-up informing you that there is a limit performing Rebuild Search Index, click OK to continue

Cache Invalidation Request – Newly created Commerce Categories may not take effect immediately after creation, and may take some time to reflect due to Caching.
