Report for Active Chart of Accounts with Balance Zero Since a particular Date

Scenario

The Client has requested to provide the details of Active Chart of accounts whose balance is 0 with year Jan1,2022. They requires to get report were the COA is not used in any transaction.

Solution

Create two searchs:

1. Active Chart of account search with internal ID in result.
   1. In criteria provide inactive ‘FALSE’
   2. In Result provide the internal Id and other necessary details as per clients requirement
   3. Download the result in excel sheet.
2. Transaction Search.
   1. In criteria:
      1. Standard
         1. Provide date from Jan1,2022
         2. Account Fields..Inactive is false
      2. Summary
         1. Summary type is Count
         2. Field is Type
         3. Description is Greater than 0

1. In Result Tab
   1. 1. Account Field: Internal ID as summary type Group
      2. Account as Summary type Group
      3. Type as Summary type Count( to verifiy the no.of Transaction for the Account)

Save and run the transaction report and download as excel.

The next step is to Vlookup the Transaction search with Chart of account search.

The identify the COA accounts with no transaction.

Filter the COA with No transaction and balance( if required).

Submit to Client.
