Inbound Shipment Transaction Customization

To see the linked inbound shipment record from the purchase order record, under Items subtab, you may see a Quantity on Shipment transaction column in the item line. If you’ll click on the quantity link you’ll get a pop up window with details of the Inbound Shipment. When you click the Shipment Number, you will be routed to the inbound shipment record.

If the Quantity on Shipment column is not visible on the PO form, please perform the following steps:

  1. Edit any Purchase Order
  2. Top right of page > hover mouse over ‘Customize‘ > select Customize form
  3. Transaction Form page will open > Under Sublist Fields tab > check show checkbox beside ‘Quantity on Shipments
  4. Click Save
  5. Refresh Purchase Order page > on the item line > Quantity on Shipments column, click on the link > new window will open > click on link on under Shipment Number

I also did find a related enhancement about showing the Inbound Shipment in the Related Records tab of Item/Transaction records. It is filed as Enhancement # 467567 and you can vote for it in the SuiteIdeas page.

Regarding Custom fields, after further consultation, it is not possible to source fields from the PO using formula, workflow, or via sourcing & filtering but it seems possible via Scripting.

Just to set proper expectations, please be informed that the scope of our support here in NetSuite Support Community does not include creating and implementing any complete scripting solutions from scratch.

For this, we recommend that you consult your technical requirements with your in-house developer or you may avail the services of our Professional Services or Advanced Customer Support Teams through your Account Manager so that they may help in developing your script.
