An employee with the Administrator role can edit or delete the events created by other users.
The other method is that the employees need to give access to the user to edit their events. This can be done in the calendar preferences in the activities tab.
- Navigate to Activities > Setup > Calendar Preferences
- Sharing: Select Public or Defined Below
- Click Calendar Access
- Grant Access To: Select Employee Name
- Access Level: Select Edit or Full
- Click Add
- Click Save
Also, the events created should be given access as public.
When an employee leaves the company, an administrator can delete the events they have scheduled through the mass update. This is the only way to delete these employee’s events that are marked Private or Show as Busy. Roles other than administrator cannot delete events that do not belong to them.
To edit the events directly from the calendar when that event is clicked, one must check the edit activities from the calendar box on the activities subtab at Home < Set Preferences.
