Proposal Summary
This proposal covers the scope of of adding the customizations in the SuiteCommerce My Account site, to add catalog and inventory page.
Requirement
- Display Catalog :
To add a catalog link which will navigate to a PDF in the header or submenu of the My Account page. This link will allow users to view and download the PDF.
- Displaying Inventory Details:
To display inventory details on the My Account page
Deliverables
Display Catalog :
- We will save all the required PDFs that need to be displayed in a dedicated folder on our NetSuite account.
- We have added a new link in the My Account tree to access the Catalog page using the extension.
- By clicking the provided link, users will be directed to the catalog page, where they can access the PDFs available within the designated folder in NetSuite. If it is a single PDF then on clicking catalog the PDF will be visible which can be downloadable also.
- Upon clicking the download button for a specific PDF, users will be able to instantly view and download the respective file.
Displaying Inventory Details:
- We have added a new subtab named “INVENTORY” in the My Account tree to access the Inventory page using the extension.
- Upon clicking the “INVENTORY” link on My Account tree, this help to navigate to the inventory detail page, we can showcase the inventory details as demonstrated below.
- The following fields will be displayed for each inventory item on the inventory page:
- Item Image: An image representing the item(optional)
- Item Title: The name or title of the item.
- Item Price: The price of the item.
- Item Quantity (Optional): The available quantity of the item in stock (if available).
- Item image can be displayed, if easy access to the external URL of the image can be ensured by adhering to a specific naming format while saving the item images on the file cabinet.
For instance: Item name.jpg/png
- We can also obtain the total quantity and stock information of the item.
Scope & Limitation
- Any changes to the proposed solution will be considered as change request.
- Currently, we will develop the UI for both the Catalog and Inventory pages based on the default design of the Suite Commerce My Account site, if there is any design change then that will be out of scope.
Assumption
- The UI will be matching to the current theme.
- The inventory details will currently display as grid format.
- Could you please mention if any criteria for displaying the inventory details and the required fields that we needed to be displayed on the inventory page
- Adding inventory details other than the above-mentioned fields will be considered as new enhancement
- If the inventory contains many items, pagination may be implemented to split the inventory into multiple pages for easier navigation.
