With regards to attaching inspection pdf documents to item records, it is suggested to create a custom record where we would be able to attach files and see all the attached files as sublists.
- Create a subtab labeled ‘Inspection Document’ under the ‘Quality’ tab in Item Records.

Here, we would be able to view all the files attached to the item record. We can customize the view to display the file name, the file type, created date etc.

- We can also include the option to remove an attachment from the list.

- For attaching new files, we may click on the ‘New Inspection Document’ button.

- On clicking on the button, we will be redirected to the custom record page we have created.

The Item name would automatically be displayed there. We can attach existing files available in NetSuite or attach a new file. To attach an existing file, we can use the option of the ‘Attach Files’ column, which would display all the files in our NetSuite Account. We can search the file name and select the file to be attached.
- To attach a new file to the item, click on the ‘+’ icon.

We would be redirected to a popup page wherein we can provide the details and attach the file. When the attachment is from Computer, the ‘Select File’ option would be active and the ‘URL’ inactive. When we select Attach from Web, the ‘URL’ option would be active and ‘Select Files’ inactive.

- On saving, the file would be attached. Similarly, we can attach multiple files.

- The Inspection Document lists would be available in the dropdown in the ‘Inspection Document’ subtab. We can select a document from the list and click on the ‘Attach’ button to attach the specific document to the Item records.

We can edit an attached file and make changes to the details earlier provided.
