We encounter the warning “This item is not properly configured, please contact your administrator” when weview the item in their webstore. This solution is applicable for customers who already have a correct setup for the Item Options in the Item record.
Solution:
- Create a new Matrix Item
- Navigate to Lists > Accounting > Items > New
- Click Matrix Item Assistant
- Item Name/Number: Enter name
- Display in Website: Mark check
- Subsidiary: Choose a Subsidiary
- Schedule: Choose a Schedule
- Click Next
- Use an Existing List: Select the custom list
- Insert Item Attribute: Select from the list
- Insert Matrix Option: Select from the list
- Matrix Item Name Template: Update to desired template
- Select from the Item Options
- Click Next
- Click Finish
- Perform Cache Invalidation Request
- Navigate to Commerce > Content Management > Cache Invalidation Requests > New
- Select a domain
- Select Clear cache for whole domain(s)
- Click Submit
- Access the original item in webstore
- Open a Guest Browser
- Access the original item’s URL
- Verify if item details are showing
- Once verified, Delete the new matrix item that was created
- Navigate to Lists > Accounting > Items
- Click Edit on the newly created Matrix Item
- Hover on Actions
- Click Delete
