The Stock Notifications extension lets users sign up for an email notification alerting them when an out-of-stock item again becomes available. If enabled, users see a stock notification option on the Product Details pages. Logged in users can visit the Stock Notifications tab of their My Account page to view details of the items to which they are subscribed, the notification statuses, and the option to cancel a notification.
Step to install Stock notification Bundle
- Navigate to Customization > SuiteBundler > Search and Install bundle
- Search for Stock notification in search box (Bundle ID= 250891)
- Select the bundle SC Stock Notifications
- Click on install


Activate the Stock Notifications Extension
- Navigate to Commerce > Extension > Extension Manager
- Edit the domain in which we want to Activate the Extension.
- Click on the Extension tab.
- Select SC Stock Notifications and click on Activate.

Configure Stock Notification from Configuration Record
- Navigate to commerce > website > Configuration >
- Click on Extensions
- Click on Stock Notifications
- Modify the Changes According to need.
- Click on Save.

After Completing all the set up in NetSuite, it will show in website as shown below if we will select Out of stock Item.

- After login user can see the subscribed item from my Account Page as shown below.
User can see the Name of item, price and Date of Subscribed. - User can also Cancel the notification by clicking on cancel Subscription
- It also provides a feature to undo the cancelation if it is cancelled by mistake.

To create Email Template for Stock Notification
- Navigate to Document > File > File Cabinet
- Click onSuiteBundles
- Open the bundle with the help of bundle ID
- Click on com. netsuite.backinstocknotification100
- Click on Email Template
- Download the file stock_notifications_email.template.ftl
- Use this file to create a new email template:
- In NetSuite, go to Documents > Templates > Email Templates > New.
- In the Name field, give the name of Stock Notification Email Template
- This name displays as an option in the Email Template field of the SC Configuration Record, which we select to configure the extension’s email template.
- In the Record Type field, select Custom Record.
- In the Template tab, perform the following steps:
- In the Subject field, enter a message to display as the subject of the stock notification email.
- In the Create Template From: field, select File.
- Click the New icon to add a file.
- In the Select File field, choose the stock_notifications_email.template.ftl file downloaded from the File Cabinet.
- Click Save.


After Creating Email Template for Stock Notification, we will see the option to select email template on Configuration record of Stock Notification.

After setting up the extension, we can view the saved searches associated with Stock Notifications. The following saved searches are created automatically when we install the SC Stock Notification extension:
- Stock Notifications Customers Waitlist — we can check which customers are currently waiting on an item.
- Stock Notifications TOP 10 Requested items — we can find out which products have been requested the most.
- Stock Notifications Sent Mails — we can see which stock notification emails have been sent.
- Stock Subscriptions Newsletter — You can learn which customers elected to subscribe to the newsletter when signing up for a stock notification.

If we open this Save search, we will see the list of all the Customer which have requested for notification If Item is Available as shown below.

If we open that Custome it will show the total number of requests sent from that customer as shown below.

If we click on View, it will show the details of Customer and Stock Notification as shown below

We need to enable the Notification Sent option and Add the Date of Notification sent to send mail to customer Email , if item back in stock.
