OKRs-objectives and key results is a goal-setting technique.
OKRs are typically written with an Objective at the top and 3-5 supporting Key Results below it. They can also be written as a statement:
I will (Objective) as measured by (Key Results).

Objectives should be:
- Actionable
- Time-bound
- Ambitious

Use OKRs when…
- You want to set more ambitious goals: OKRs are designed to be more ambitious than SMART goals, encouraging innovation and creativity in your business
- You need to align multiple teams and departments around a common objective: OKRs are great for organizational alignment, creating a sense of unity and shared purpose that’s particularly valuable in large organizations with siloed structures
- You want to track progress towards outcomes, rather than tasks: OKRs are outcome-focused, tracking progress toward a desired outcome, rather than task completion
