Credit Card Transaction failed : Invalid Profile ID or Key

When saving a Credit Card Transaction, user is receiving a warning A payment hold has been placed on this Payment due to an authorization decline for Credit Card xxxx.

You then navigated to Payment Method tab > Payment Events subtab and clicked View.

In the Payment Event window > Response Information > Details field, it says “Invalid Profile ID or Profile Key. Correct the profile ID and profile key and re-submit.”

Solution

Verify if the Profile ID and Key are entered correctly. This needs to be checked on the Merchant e-SolutionsCredit Card setup under Setup > Accounting > Payment Processing Profile using an Administrator role.

User can do the following steps:

1. Go to Setup > Accounting > Payment Processing Profile
2. Click Edit on the Merchant e-Solutions setup
3. Copy-paste the PROFILE ID and PROFILE KEY sent by Merchant e-Solutions.
4. Payer Authentication = False
5. Test Mode = False
6. Inactive = False
7. Enable all Gateway Request Types
8. Click on Save.

If the same issue is not resolved still, user needs to contact Merchant e-Solutions to verify the correct PROFILE ID and PROFILE KEY.
