Technology Going Forward
- We will continue to use NetSuite as our ERP, CRM, Accounting, and will use Advanced Suite Commerce as our website.
- We use a third party integrator to connect our 3PL locations and marketplace platforms to NetSuite.
- We currently do business with Amazon Vendor, Amazon Seller, Walmart, distributors and our website.
Factors That Will Influence Final Decision
- Experience working with redesigning NetSuite Advanced Suite Commerce sites.
- Experience training customers how to support the site once the project is over.
- Cost of project. Because business is down due to Covid 19 we will be looking at the best solution for the best price. If that means rolling out all if our requirements over time we will do that. The key is we are looking for a partner that understands our issues and can recommend how best to solve the issues in the situation we are in. I always ask any company I hire to treat our project as if it were your business.
- Location may play a factor if on-site meetings are required.
Project Requirements
- Attached is a list of needs/requirements we compiled last April and then added to it in the last few weeks.
- We really need a partner for this project that truly will advise us as to what we need now and then what can be added down the road.
- Our biggest problems are we are on a very old version of the website, or mobile presence is awful and it is difficult to have discount coupon codes function properly.
- Sonic Alert has no IT staff and has only 5 employees that wear many hats. So we need as much support for IT related tasks as we can get because none of us have time to go learn how to get something done on our own. We do have a marketing manager that can assist with images, videos, descriptions and items like that.

- Design – Jobin & Jismi will analyze and decide what changes required in the website and will share the proposed layout to Sonic alert. Jobin & Jismi will be responsible for creating and providing the designs for the website. Jobin & Jismi will submit the wireframe and after the approval of the wireframes, the design will be started. Jobin & Jismi will provide all the design assets along with the design. The pages that will be designed are,

- Account – Jobin & Jismi will be doing the development on the production account with a custom domain since there is no sandbox account available.
- Netsuite Access – Sonic Alert has to provide a minimum of 2 Netsuite access in production so that Jobin & JIsmi could assign multiple resources on the development. Jobin & Jismi will also create customer accounts on the website for the development purpose.
- Bundle Installation – Jobin & Jismi will install the required bundles in production for SCA. It would include new SCA version, extension manager
- Domain – Jobin & Jismi will add a custom domain in production for the development purpose. Once verified the website will be activated in the URL https://www.sonicalert.com/
- Commerce Catalog and Commerce Category– Sonic Alert will inform their requirement to change the category structure if required and Jobin & Jismi will make the required changes which will be then reflected in the website. We suggest that the category changes will be done at the final stage since a website can have only 1 catalog and any changes done to the category will reflect in the main site.
- Items – The existing items in Netsuite will be used in the website. The items will be mapped to corresponding commerce categories. The name, description, url, price, images etc for each item will be displayed based on the data stored in Netsuite. So if Sonic Alert would like to update the data or would like to display additional data, they have to update the same in the Netsuite.
- Images – All the existing item related images will be used in the website and if Sonic Alert requires to add new images, Jobin & Jismi will provide the naming convention required to add new images and will help for uploading the images to file cabinet
- Header – Top header Bar will include Home(Logo will act as Home page link), About us, Products, Contact us, Mini cart and search bar
- Promo Codes -Suitepromotions will be used for cheating coupon code and Jobin & Jismi will create an extension which is configurable from the configuration record. The extension will display a Popup message when a new customer visits the website.
- Login/Registration – Jobin & Jismi will use the default login/register form for users and make required changes to UI as per the new requirement
- Pricing – The website will display list price/online price as Sonic Alert prefres and the website would also support item group level price and customer level price. We would also display the strike through price feature
- Payment gateway: The payment gateway will be the same as in the current website. Sonic Alert would notify if otherwise.
- Product details page: Sonic Alert would add required information such as product user guide, videos and Jobin & Jismi would create an extension which would display the information to user in a presentable manner
- Shipping Method/Tracking– Jobin & Jismi would use the existing shipping items created in NetSuite and tracking will be displayed in the website if it is added in the order information in NetSuite. Jobin & Jismi will be responsible for integrating the 3PL with NetSuite with or without connector as per the requirement of Sonic Alert
- Stock Availability – The website would display an out of stock message if an item is out of stock and it will be real time with NetSUite inventory.
- Email templates and PDF – Jobin & Jismi will create and update the required email templates and PDF for the website records such as customer registration email, password reset email, order creation, order shipment, invoice, gift certificate etc.
- CMS Pages – Jobin & Jismi IT Services will create the below landing pages in the website.

- Product Description changes: Jobin & Jismi would support Sonic Alert to add more content to the website regarding items and set up SEO enhancement for the website. SEO/Content writing team will be responsible for changing the product description with the support of Sonic Alert.
- Integration: Jobin & Jismi will be responsible for connecting existing third party applications with websites as well as with NetSuite. We have considered the basic integration setup with marketplace API which include the authorization, sales order, item fulfilment and invoice sync .Before the start of the development Sonic Alert will provide the integration in a detailed manner
Assumptions
- Jobin & Jismi will provide a user guide after the website is developed. It will have the details explaining the way to manage the site.
- Sonic Alert has to provide Netsuite access to Jobin & Jismi for production
- Sonic Alert would have meeting with Jobin & Jismi content writing team in order to coordinate the change in product description. We will provide a quote for this once the requirement, analysis is done
- By scrolling ads, we assume that these are items which is displayed is in home page as a carousel
- We assume that we have to integrate 3PL with NetSuite and it should be connected with SCA website for tracking information and we need to integrate other third party vendor apps with NetSuite, the estimate may change upon giving the original requirement as the current estimate is put based on a standard assumption of what we expect
- For product description enhancement, we have considered 80 to 90 items which we write the description which would not exceed more than 200 words. The estimated time added is based on the assumption of standard procedure and may vary upon giving original requirement
