Requirement 

License To Innovate would like to update Form and PDF Templates

  • Setup HTML forms for 2 subsidiaries (nCamp and IPL)
    • Sales Order
    • Invoice
    • Estimate

Logo should be visible and in correct ratio on each form

Company address should be specific to each subsidiary and spaced correctly

  • Fields removed/added to specific forms
    • Sales Order
    • Invoice
    • Estimate

The HTML layout that is provided with our package is fine, LTI needs to add/change a few of the fields in each form.  Also they want both subsidiaries to have the same forms with the same fields, the only difference would be the subsidiary name and address.

LTI does not want to use the non-HTML Basic form.

Our Solution

Assumptions

  • LTI would like to use similar Transaction forms and the Advanced PDF template(PDFs) in Netsuite for both the subsidiaries for the mentioned records by removing/adding some additional fields. The PDF layout will also be also same except Subsidiary Name, Logo, and address by including some additional fields in the currently available Netsuite PDF templates.

Description of Task

This requirement can be achieved by customizing the custom form of the following transaction by adding the Fields

  • On Sales Order Form
    • Will add one free form Text field for Notes 
    • Will add a Text area field for Wire Instruction
  • On Invoice From
    • Will add one free form Text for Notes 
    • Will add a Text area field for Wire Instruction

Also, need to customize the Advanced PDF templates of the following transaction PDF to align the subsidiary Logo and the corresponding address

  • On Sales Order PDF
    • Change title to “Sales Order Confirmation”
    • Change “Payment Method” to “Payment Terms”
    • Add Terms of Sale (incoterm)
    • Change “Ship Date” to “Est. Ship date”
    • Add SKU (Item Name /Number)
    • Change “Item” to “Item Description”  
    • Add currency (This will be added after Ship Date)
    • Add line for shipping charges under subtotal
    • Add value from Note field under line items, label as “Notes:”
    • Add value from wire instructions field
  • On Invoice PDF
    • Change “Terms” to “Payment Terms”
    • Add “Terms of Sale (incoterm)”
    • Remove Due date under Total
    • Add SKU (Item Name /Number)
    • Change “Item” to “Item Description”
    • Add currency (This will be added after Shipping Method)
    • Add line for shipping charges under subtotal
    • Add value from Note field under line items, label as “Notes:”
    • Add value from wire instructions field
  • On Estimate PDF
    • Change “Incoterm” to “Terms of Sale (incoterm)”
    • Add SKU (Item Name /Number)
    • Change “Item” to “Item Description”  

Note

  • Data that needs to populate onto the PDF should be available on NetSuite within the current record/next related record. Otherwise, we need some common logic that can be applied to generate the data on PDF
