Manage Tax Reporting Period Permission is missing on Role Setup even from Admin Role

Scenario

You may grant access to the role by doing the steps below:

Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles
Custom Role (Controller): Click Edit
Click Permissions tab
Click Setup subtab
Permissions:
Select Manage Tax Reporting Period
Level: Select Full
Click Save

However “Manage Tax Reporting Period” is not available

When using Admin role, and clicking on Manage Tax Period, it says “

Notice

You do not have permission to perform this operation. “, and I went to research, found this post, and I couldn’t locate Manage Tax Reporting Period when I try follow your instruction and customize an accounting role either.

Reason

Manage Tax Reporting Periods permission will only be available if a Subsidiary with VAT/GST is set up on the Account.
