We can add buttons in any type of records using only workflow, without doing any script.
Go to Customization > Workflow >workflows >New
Create a new workflow
Select any state in the workflow and add action as “add button”
fill up the all required values in the form and your conditions and save it
When the workflow runs the button will be shown on the top in the mentioned records based on the conditions given.
