Hide Item from a Customer segment

User needs to hide item from a customer segment, such as client segment A, but make it visible to other customer segments, such as client segment B.

Solution

1. Navigate to Commerce > Content Management > Commerce Categories
2. Select View beside the Commerce category with the item you want to hide
3. Under Items tab, take note of all the items
4. Go to Lists > Accounting > Item Collections > New
5. Set Name for item collection, such as Visible Items for client segment A
6. Add Items from Step 3, excluding the item you want to hide for customer segment, such as client segment A
7. Click Save
8. Go to Setup > Marketing > Customer Segments Manager
9. Click Add Item Segments
10. Choose Item Collection from Step 5
11. Click Add
12. For newly added item collection, set customer segment = customer group that should not view certain item, such as client segment A
13. Complete steps 4-11 to create another item collection containing all items that the rest of customer segments, such as client segment B and C, can view from the commerce category
14. For newly added item collection, set customer segment = customer groups that can view all items from commerce category, such as client segment B and C
15. Click Save
