Set Preferences for UAT
User preferences allow you to personalize the way you work in NetSuite. Preferences can be set for all
aspects of your NetSuite account including formatting and localization, appearance, analytics, alerts, and
so on.
This topic focuses on preferences that will be most useful during your UAT experience.
Steps
1) Navigate to Home > Set Preferences > General subtab > Optimizing NetSuite section to view list
preferences.
Notes:
• Most preferences are specific to the role in which you set them. If you have access to
more than one role, you would need to change the preference for each role you have
access to.
• To know more about the preferences, click on the preference name to access field
help.
a. The Number of Rows in List Segments determines the maximum number of rows to
appear on a page result.
Notes:
• If there are more than the specified number of rows, NetSuite will divide the
results into segments.
• If you prefer scrolling through the list than paging through segments, enter a
higher value.
b. The Maximum Entries in Dropdowns setting determines the point at which the dropdown
list is converted into a searchable field.
Notes:
• A searchable field is denoted by a double chevron dropdown arrow.
• If you prefer to type into a dropdown field rather than scroll through, enter a
low value
2) Scroll up to navigate to the Appearance subtab.
3) On the Colors section, select a Color Theme by clicking the double chevron.
a. Click List.
b. You can browse the list by segments, or you can use the search box to enter a specific
option.
Tip: Select a different identifying color for the NetSuite Implementation role and any
other roles you have access to.
4) Scroll down to the Centers & Dashboards section to mark the Use Classic Interface checkbox.
The test case instructions that will be provided will use this interface.
5) Click [Save].
