While testing, it is your responsibility to record the outcome of test cases whether the case be successful
or there’s failure. Failures include errors, permission mismatches, and workflow issues.
You may also report suggestions that would improve the process such as the need for additional
information fields or removing miscellaneous ones, making fields required, renaming custom fields, and
so on.
After the core project team reviews the results of test cases and is unable to work out a solution for
Failed test cases, a test issue can be logged to be sent to the NetSuite implementation team for
assistance. It is very important to record as much detail as possible on the test issue record, so the
NetSuite implementation team can easily reproduce the steps and troubleshoot quickly.
Note: NetSuite Implementation Team role is required.
Steps
1) Navigate to Implementation > Testing > Test Issues > New.
2) Enter a Subject to summarize the issue in a few clear words.
3) Select an Issue Type:
• Defect
• Enhancement
• Task
4) Select an Issue Status.
5) Select the Business Process affected.
6) On the Test Phase field, select UAT.
7) Select a Priority to the issue.
8) Select one of your NetSuite implementation team consultants in both Assigned To and Notify
Users fields.
9) In the Description field, enter the details of the error:
Note: You should record sufficient details so that your implementation team can recreate
and repair the issue.
