Addresses getting deleted on SO creation

There are situations where NS is deleting an address record from the customer you are checking out with when the customer places an order in SuiteCommerce.

It’s a niche issue, but does occasionally come up. It’s the culmination of 3 factors:

  • Custom Address form where phone numbers are not required
  • Addresses without phone numbers
  • Remove Paypal Addresses feature enabled on Website Configuration

If these are all true, it likely will culminate in Address deletion.

Essentially, the system sees addresses without phone numbers as Paypal addresses, and deletes them if the feature is turned on.

To resolve, you can turn off the ‘Remove Paypal Addresses’ in Commerce > Websites > Configuration > choose your website > Checkout

Click save and perform a Cache Invalidation Request
