Resolve Company Field Missing From Individual Lead Record Created Using Contact Us Form

When submitting a Contact Us form generated from SMT with the Company field populated, the corresponding field on the individual lead record will be empty. A workaround is to use an Additional Field and link this to the Company field.

Solution
  1. While logged in to SMT on your website, navigate to the page that contains the contact form
  2. In the Contact Form box, click Edit
  3. Click Additional Field 1
  4. Note: The following can be performed on any Additional Field tab.
  5. Field Type – Additional Field 1: Text Input
  6. Link To – Additional Field 1: Lead
  7. Internal ID – Additional Field 1: companyname
  8. Label – Additional Field 1: Company
  9. Placeholder – Additional Field 1: Company name…
  10. Uncheck the Hide Additional Field 1 checkbox
  11. Click Save
  12. Click Review & Publish Changes
  13. Select the unpublished Contact Us form
  14. Click Publish
  15. Click Yes
