On the Set Up Domains page, where all your domains are listed, you can view the status of each domain that you have set up. This page provides a summary of your domain’s health through status icons in the Deployment, DNS, and Certificate columns. The Domain Health Status feature conducts health tests to identify and flag any issues related to Domain Deployment, DNS configuration, and Certificate setup.
If you observe any anomalies or issues in the status icons, you can click “View” next to the respective domain to initiate troubleshooting. The Domain Health Status section will then provide detailed information about the cause of the problem, helping you address and resolve any domain setup issues efficiently.
The Domain Health Status section may present messages falling into three main categories:
- Informational Messages:
- These messages provide information about an ongoing or completed task, offering insights into the status of various domain-related processes.
- Warning Messages:
- Warning messages highlight exception conditions that, if left unaddressed, may lead to potential problems in the future. These serve as proactive alerts to prompt resolution.
- Error Messages:
- Error messages indicate that a task was not completed due to either user or system errors. Resolving these issues requires user intervention to rectify the problem and ensure successful completion of the task.
These messages are associated with actions in three distinct categories:
- Deployment:
- Pertaining to the setup and deployment of the domain, these messages provide insights into the progress and completion of deployment-related tasks.
- DNS Record Setup:
- Addressing the configuration of DNS records, these messages offer information about the state of DNS setup and any potential issues that may need attention.
- Certificates:
- Relating to the setup and management of SSL/TLS certificates, messages in this category inform about the status of certificate-related tasks and any concerns that may arise.
It’s important to note that the ‘This domain already exists’ error is not classified within these three categories. This message is triggered when attempting to create a domain record that either already exists or has been recently deleted. The error occurs because DNS records of deleted domains may take up to two hours to be completely removed from all DNS servers. Users are advised to wait until the record is entirely removed before attempting to create it again. Patience during this period ensures a smooth domain creation process without encountering conflicts.
