In custom records, more than one parent record can be set. For this, many parent link fields can be created with the ‘Record As parent’ box checked.
But, if two or more transaction records are set as parent for the custom record, then the parent subtab selected will be the same for those parent fields.
Issue – The parent records for a custom record are Sales Order and Estimate. Created two parent link fields and selected transaction records in both field setups. In the sales order and the estimate record, two subtabs are visible for this custom record with the child record attached to only one subtab(Under the main subtab, there are two separate subtabs).
Solution – In the parent link field setup, apply the type filter. In the sales order parent field, apply the filter for type and select the sales order record type under the ‘Sourcing and filtering’ tab.
The same settings should be applied to estimate records.
