Event Deletion in NetSuite with Mass Update Feature

Managing a large volume of events in NetSuite can be challenging, especially when it comes to deleting them in bulk. Fortunately, NetSuite offers a powerful solution to this problem through its Mass Update feature.

  1. Navigate to Mass Update: To access the Mass Update feature, navigate to Lists > Mass Update > Mass Update from the NetSuite dashboard.
  2. Select Activities: In the Mass Update menu, locate and click on the “Activities” link. This will allow us to update activities such as events, tasks, and calls.
  3. Choose Delete Events: Click on the “Delete Events” option.
  4. Title of Actions: Give a descriptive title to the actions that are about to be performed.
  5. Specify Criteria: Under the Criteria subtab, specify any conditions that should be met for the events to be deleted. This could include criteria based on event types, dates, or other custom fields.
  6. Select Fields to Show: In the Results subtab, select which fields wanted to include in the preview of the events to be deleted. This will help to verify the events before deleting them.
  7. Preview Events: Click on the “Preview” button to generate a preview of the events to be deleted. This will display a list of events that meet the specified criteria.
  8. Exclude Events (Optional): If any events should not be deleted, then we can clear the checkbox next to their names in the preview list.
  9. Perform Update: Finally, click on the “Perform Update” button to delete the selected events.
