PROPOSAL FOR UPDATING DESCRIPTION SECTION AND SHOWING SIZE CHART IN PDP PAGE

Proposal Summary 

 

This proposal covers the scope of updating the description section on the PDP page to ensure that all items have a consistent style in line with the website design and showing the size chart in the PDP Page. 

Requirement 

1. The description section on the PDP page varies for different items.update the description section on the PDP page to ensure that all items have a consistent design similar to current webstore layout.  
2. To show size chart in the PDP Page 

Deliverable 

Requirement 1: To update Description section 

• We can make the description section have a common design for all items by mass updating the description content in NetSuite.  
• The content of the description section is taken from the “Detailed Description” field in the item record on the NetSuite account, which is in HTML format.  
• The issue of the difference in the description section is due to the HTML format that we are adding in the “Detailed Description” field, so we can update the description by mass updating the “Detailed Description” field.  
• In the new description content, we can follow a common rule for adding contents, format, tags, and styles so that the description of all items has a common layout. 
• The new description content will be in a common format and style. Example:mple csv of description updation.xlsx 

Requirement 2: To show Size chart 

• We can show the size chart on the PDP page.  
• For that, we need to create the size chart on the NetSuite according to our requirement. 
• On the size chart creation page, we can enter the details of the chart such as name, title, and chart. We can create a size chart as shown below: 

 

• We can create a chart using the tools in the chart section, or we can make use of the “make a copy” button in an already existing chart and update it according to our requirements. 

 

 

• To display the size chart on the PDP page, it is necessary to select the created chart under the size chart tab in the item record. 

 

 

• If the size chart is selected in the item record, then the chart will appear as inline text on the PDP Page under the SKU in the item detail section and under the description section 

 

 

On clicking the size chart, the chart will be displayed in the pop-up window.

 

Prerequisites 

• The excel file or csv file contaning the new contents of detailed description field need to be provided. 
• The new description content will be in common format and styles. Example: Sample csv of description updation.csv 
• The Purcare team need to add the necessary size chart for the items. 
• The size chart field in the item record of all items also needs to be filled with the required chart by the Purecare team. 

 

 

 

Scope & Limitation 

• We can only assign one size chart to an item. 
• Any changes to the proposed solution will be considered as change request. 
• UI will be matching to current theme additional changes to the UI or functionality will be considered as out of scope. 
• The chart has no additional functionality; it is simply there for appearance. 
• Development will be done in the Sandbox.
