CUSTOM SEGMENTS VALUES ARE NOT SHOWING IN THE ITEM FIELD OF THE TRANSACTION

Created Custom Segments are not showing in the Item field of the transaction and also not get the GL Impact.

Enable the ” Custom segment ” feature :- Before you going to create Custom segment, you must enable the feature. Navigate to Setup > Company > Enable features. On the Suite cloud subtab, check the custom segments box and click save.

REASON FOR THE CUSTOM SEGMENTS ARE NOT SHOWING IN THE ITEM FIELD OF TRANSACTION AND NO IMPACT ON GL IMPACT

We can apply the custom segments created to transactions. In the time of creating Custom segments, we can apply these segments to the body field of the transaction or make them in the item field of the transaction.

In the given scenario , if you checked the box for the option coming under Transaction column field( Sub tab of Application and sourcing) then those Custom segments will appear in the transaction item field.

The Transaction column field used for displaying the line-item column of any transaction column fields. Purchase item and sales items are well known examples.

If you don’t select values from the dropdown for Custom segment in the item field, GL Impact page doesn’t show the segment value.

We can add custom segment in the body field or item field in the transaction. If not added custom segment value in the item field , it will reflect on GL Impact ( Revenue, Accrued Sales tax column will be empty). If we not added custom segment value in the body field of the transaction, it will also reflected on the GL Impact (A/R, Accrued Sales tax column will be empty).
