The customer can be assigned with pricing group and the item pricing. But when the price level is updated in the customer record, the corresponding pricing will not be reflected in the item price level in the quote of the customer even when edited and saved.
In order to reflect that update, the customer in the quote has to be reselected so that the price level updated will be reflected in the item’s price level. But this method will result in changing the various field values like billing or shipping address, payment terms, shipping method, contact.
The solution is to add a button in the quote, which when clicked will update the item price level.
