Create Navigation in a Center Type

There may be scenarios that the user role may have access to certain records but there will not be any navigation path available to that record from the corresponding center type.

For example, for the HR role, permission is provided to create the vendor bills. But from the HR center, there is no navigation path available to the ‘Enter Bills’ page. The user can access the page using Global Search. This is a workaround but, if the role has no access to global search, the record can not be accessed.

So, we can create a custom center navigation in NetSuite. Follow the below steps.

1. Take the URL of the page that needs to be added as a center navigation. In this scenario, it is the ‘Enter Bills’ page URL.
2. Navigate to Customization -> Centers and Tabs -> Center Links. Create the center link
3. Navigate to Customization -> Centers and Tabs -> Center Categories.
4. Create the center category by entering the label, center type, and the center tab to which the link needs to be added.
5. Add the created center link in the values subtab
