A new task, this is a company we purchase goods from. They send us this report every quarter.
I would like to make a similar report for our Balaji customers from Netsuite.
So we can pull this kind in PDF for a customer and send it to the customer.
Yeah, separate pages in PDF
Maybe you can make those graphs and tables as part of the dashboard and use the same data as PDF.
Our Solution
We have analysed the requirements upto Top 30 PDF(Slide 8). The remaining are in progress, we will check and update you the remaining portion.
As per our solution we can add a button in Customer record, to print the PDF.The user can download the data by clicking the button in customer record. Each data will be downloaded as a single PDF.
1.Sales Data
We have to show the sales of a specific item for the last 6 months as a table for the customer. Also need to show the graph representation of items along with the amount & quantity.
Also for adding the analysis part, we can only add which data is high. Example: In January month have the highest sale for Item A.
NB: We can show either bar graph or line graph as follows. We are unable to add line graph & bar graphs together. Samples are given below.
2.Delivery Category Analysis
In this case also PDF will be downloaded with the quantity & Amount. The data is fetched from the sales orders which the customer purchased. The items are categorized according to “DISTRIBUTION CATEGORY”.
The same for here too, we can add either bar graph or line graph, not a combination of both.
3. Ratio of Category Delivery
The ratio of categories is displayed as a pie chart, a sample is given below. One pie chart is based on the quantity & another based on the amount.
4. PG Delivery QTY & Amount
As per my best understanding PG are categories, which we can see in the item record labelled as “CRICKET CATEGORY LIST”. We have to show quantity & amount in the Y axis, in X axis we have to show Category.
Also we have to show the pie charts too.
5.Top 30
We have to show the top 30 products which were sold in the last quarter year for the selected customer. We have to show SKU, Description, Quantity (Which is sold in the last quarter year), Amount(calculated as per sales order created for the customer). The top 5 products will be highlighted in red.
6.GTM Products
We have to show the GTM Product table. The table should show the total quantity sold for the customer, and the amount of the items sold in the period to the customer also the amount % ( Amount of items sold to the particular customer *100/ total amount of items sold to all customers). Similarly we have to add the quantity % ( Quantity purchased by the customer*100/ total quantity purchased by all customers), all data are based on the sales order created.
Also we have to show the pie chart of items sold to the customer based on quantity & amount.
It is difficult to show the unsold item for a particular customer/ particular period. It is time consuming. We have large data of items. So we suggest avoiding the portion, if possible.
7. 2020 H1 New Arrival
We have to show the items in a specified brand which is added in the previous quarter year. The quantity received will be fetched from the purchase orders quantity. Alos in the table we have to show the quantity purchased by the customer & the % of quantity purchased. The data we have to show in a pie chart too.
8. Overseas exclusive Products
We have to show the quantity, amount, Category, quantity % (Qty purchased by customer/ total qty in all sales order). According to the data the table will split to the next page.
9. 2020 H1 Charger
We have to show top hot selling items as a table, and need to highlight the top item in each category. The category is based on DISTRIBUTION CATEGORY in item record. We have to show the quantity, amount purchased by the customer, SKU number, category, product name. We also have to show the qty pie chart & amount pie chart.
10. 2020 H1 Car Mount
We have to show top hot selling items as a table, and need to highlight the top item in each category. The category is based on DISTRIBUTION CATEGORY in item record. Problems we’re facing
We can create a custom record to store the problems facing the customer. This has to be filled from the Balaji team, also the custom record will record the Help we need from Balaji team.

This will be a static page, either we can collect the data (sales target from a custom record) or we can create the structure the user has to manually enter the target after taking print.

Assumptions & questions
- We have to show the results in a different pages of single PDF
- The data to show in the PDF “Sales Data” is specific to the item, this item will be selected from the custom page which will be created. From where we can get the item name? Do we have to add it to any list?
- Delivery category is fetched from the “DISTRIBUTION CATEGORY” from the item record
- PG data is getting generated based on the CRICKET CATEGORY LIST
- Top 30 products are depending on the sale of items of the selected customer.
- Could you please mention the GTM Items related to? How can we get the GTM products?
- Could you please mention how we can reach overseas exclusive products?
- For showing 2020 H1 Charger, do we have to show all categories?
- Is the 2020 H1 Charger category based on DISTRIBUTION CATEGORY in item record?
- What data to consider for creating the 2020 H1 Car Mount?
- Do we have to include slide number 16 & slide num 17 in PDF? Are the pages static? If not from where we will get the data?
- Could you please mention where we can fetch the overseas exclusive product?

- We have to add an Introduction page & Thank you page in the PDF

- Do we add bulk email processes? Such as selecting the customer & sending the PDF to the customer?
