Automate report sending by Scheduling the Report

To schedule a report in NetSuite, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Report:

  • Go to Reports > Saved Reports.
  • Select the report you want to schedule.

2. Customize the Report (Optional):

  • If you need to customize the report before scheduling, click Customize.
  • Make the necessary adjustments to filters, columns, and other report settings.
  • Save the report with a new name if you’ve made changes.

3. Schedule the Report:

  • Once the report is ready, click on Schedule in the footer of the report page.
  • This will take you to the Schedule Report page.

4. Set the Schedule:

  • Frequency: Choose how often the report should be run (e.g., Daily, Weekly, Monthly, etc.).
  • Start Date: Select the start date for the schedule.
  • End Date: Optionally, set an end date for the report to stop running.
  • Time: Choose the time of day for the report to be generated.

5. Email the Report (Optional):

  • Under Recipients, add the email addresses of those who should receive the report.
  • You can also choose the format (e.g., PDF, Excel) in which the report will be sent.
  • Check the Send as Inline Text option if you want the report to be included in the body of the email rather than as an attachment.

6. Save the Schedule:

  • Once all the settings are configured, click Save.
  • The report is now scheduled to run automatically according to the specified frequency.

7. Manage Scheduled Reports:

  • To view or manage scheduled reports, go to Reports > Scheduled Reports.
  • From there, you can edit, delete, or run scheduled reports as needed.

This process automates the generation and distribution of reports, ensuring that the relevant stakeholders receive timely and accurate information without manual intervention.
